Great feeling home! 2/7/2010

I am greatly comforted knowing my Mom is taken care of by the loving owners and caring consistent staff. The homey atmosphere that A Touch of Home provides has allowed my Mom a smooth transition to living away from her own home. I was so lucky to find this wonderful treasure tucked away in a beautiful neighborhood. My mother loves the food, enjoys the walking paths and the large tree covered deck and is very comfortable joining in the daily activities of the home. My mind is at ease knowing A Touch of Home provides for my Mother just the way a family member would. Pros: wonderful staff, great loving owners, coziest place around more

Wonderful Facility!!! 2/3/2010

I am a registered nurse and have been working with this facility for almost 5 years. This family owned personal care home has impressed me on many levels. The house remains clean and odor free at all times, despite some patients having incontinence. The gardens are well maintained with walking paths for the residents to enjoy. Along with the many other activites provided for the ladies on a daily basis. Over the years, I have eaten many home cooked meals. Which in my opinion are amazing! This house has a comfortable home-like feel to it and attention to detail is the owners priority. The staff and owners have a very caring attitude. I would recommend this facility to anyone without any reservations. more

Wonderul Place - Highly Recommended 1/25/2010

We had our mom in A Touch of Home for over two years. I have seen many, many assisted living places and cannot imagine finding a better place to take care of a family member. Our mom received excellent care, good food, good medical care and care above and beyond by a loving staff in a warm, clean, homey environment. Family members are encouraged to come by anytime and we did!! Two years after our mom has passed away and I still visit the home now and again and regularly see Sharon and Thesea (mom and daughter who own A Touch of Home) on a personal friendship basis that was developed as a direct result of our mom being in their home.\r \r I totally disagree with the negative review that was written and it is just not true. I recommend A Touch of Home to everyone I know who has family members in need of such a place. We were able to enjoy being with our mom and visit her in a wonderful home in a lovely setting. We participated in lunches, parties, activities, etc. - we were there one to two times each week - so if there was anything out of order - we would have known about it! \r \r Please take the time to visit this home, meet the owners and staff and see for yourself - I think you will find that my review is much more accurate and truthful.\r Pros: Home-like atmosphere, clean, friendly, great care more

Terrible Assisted Living Facility 7/9/2009

Please don't consider this home to place your loved one at. I have been in gerentology for many years, and have a great passion for the elderly. I don't usually write reviews, or comment on much. But I can not keep quiet about this awful place. The owners are more interested in making as much money as they can by gauging these poor residents of thousands of dollars a month. There staff consists of felons, substance abusers, and many with psychiatric disorders. The food they serve them isn't acceptable to animals, and of course not what there Doctors have ordered. If you are to walk in early in the morning the house smells of urine and feces. Because of the bad care given at this home many of these poor residents are sent to the ER for various illnesses, and subsequently hospitalized. They are not treated with any respect, they are spoken to very harshly, or laughed at, they are forced to listen to music or watch TV that is not to their liking or understanding. Please for the sake of your family and or love one, please seek another home for them. There are many out there that are outstanding. Cons: too long to list more
