Peachtree Battle at Ansley Park Playhouse 8/21/2005

The Ansley Park Playhouse is located in the Peachtree Pointe Building in Atlanta. This playhouse is home the the hilarious play "Peachtree Battle", one of Atlanta's longest running and most successful plays. Peachtree Battle gives us a glimpse into the lives of the dysfuntional members of the Habersham family. You will grow to love the alcoholic grandmother, the heartless mother, the cheating father, the anorexic daughter, the gay son, and the other son who is about to marry a Hooter's girl. The show is a delight - I highly recommend it! more

Home of "Peachtree Battle" 8/16/2005

Ansley Park Playhouse is the home of "Peachtree Battle," the hilarious comedy that has become Atlanta's longest running theatre production. It celebrates it's four-year anniversary in September 2005 and shows are STILL sold out. The comedy tells the story of the battling Habershams family, led by a matriarch dealing with her gay son, alcoholic mother, and her straight son who's engaged to a Hooter's Girl. Writers John Gibson and Anthony Morris keep the script fresh by throwing in lines about current events and a host of local celebrities have had walk-on parts, including WSB-TVe anchor Monica Kauffman, who's ever-changing hair styles have long been a running joke in the show. Gibson and Morris will soon premiere a new show, "Sunday Afternoon At Loehmanns" and "Peachtree Battle 2" is in the works. more

Amazing Place to see a good Play 8/5/2005

Ansley Park Playhouse is an amazing place to go if you want to see local productions. My friends and I went there this past week to see a local production call "Peachtree Battle". What an amazing show, we couldn't stop laughing the entire time we were there. The theater only seats about 100 people and tickets sell out months in advance. The theater is small, so if you want to get the best seats arrive about 30 minutes before they open the doors and wait in line to get in. It's deffinetly worth getting there early and having a drink at the local restaurants nearby. During intermision they servce beer an wine in the lobby and you can also go to the restaurant on premises to get an alcoholic beverage out into a plastic cup and take it inside with you. Highly recomment the place for groups of any size. more
