Bad follow through 10/18/2011

Flowers arrived to the party 30 minutes late. When Virginia got there she gave no explaination was asking for my nieces and nephews to help her get the flowers on the tables (our guests were already arriving). The flower arrangements were not done to the specs agreed upon. She never even bothered to call after the event to explain herself. What started out as a very pleasant floral experience ended in disappointment. I wouldn't do business there again. more

Ordered from this flower shop the work is Contemporary and New! The staff is friendly and HONEST! Flowers are fresh and I always see something new and interesting in the shop!, its not filled with babiesbreath and daisy's!!!!!!! Kudos!!!!!!! more

This florist doesn't exist 11/17/2010

This florist at this address was sold a few years ago and moved, bouncing from a smaller store on the turnpike to a small shop on Franklin Ave.........so of you all are commenting on a business that is under different ownership. Since this takeover the staff, and quality of work has gone downhill. Franklin Square needs Lou back. What a shame more

nice flowers bad delivery 8/6/2010

Good: price was good for what you get. Bad: I called at 9:30am ordered one dozen roses to be delivered before 2:00 to Garden city which was less than 3 miles from Amendola of Franklin square. needless to say I called two times around 2:15 and 2:30 they said it would be there in a few minutes.... It finally showed up at 3:30. They called me back and told me the flowers were delivered a half hour ago. which is a complete lie because I was on the phone two minutes before they call me while the person received the flowers!!!. Improvements: to try and deliver with in a half hour time frame from the agreed time and to be honest about things and not lie to your customers.. Other: I have never wrote a review online in my life but being lied to really bugged me.. more

DEAD FLOWERS! 11/2/2009

UNBELIEVABLE! THE PLACE IS THE WORST. NOT ONLY DID THEY DELIVER DEAD FLOWERS FOR MY WIFE'S BIRTHDAY BUT THEY NEVER EVEN RETURNED MY CALL TO DISCUSS THE PROBLEM! LEFT MULTIPLE MESSAGES WITH ONE OF THE WORKERS AND NEVER RECEIVED A CALL BACK. I SPOKE TO SOMEONE ELSE AFTER THE INCIDENT AND THEY HAD A VERY SIMILAR EXPERIENCE. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE! more

Disgraceful 1/25/2007

We placed a large funeral order from Amendola's. I paid additional money to have one "designed" piece made - a narrow, tall arrangement. They instead sent a wide low piece, that already had dead flowers upon arrival. Every arrangement we ordered (presentations & casket flowers) had problems, including one order that completely fell apart. The wake was 2 sessions on 1 day -- the flowers they sent didn't even last until the evening session ! The people at the shop couldn't care less that they didn't follow the order placed, nor that the flowers we received were dead. It's absolutely disgraceful that they would do this for a funeral! more

Amendola's makes beautiful flower arrangements for any occasion. They will help you create a masterpiece for your loved one. It is a large store, with very knowledgable staff to help you choose flowers that work together. They do a really great job wrapping it up and offering tips to help get the most out of your flowers. I use them for Mother's Days and birthdays every year and have never been disappointed. more

Good Selection 7/14/2005

There are many good selections of flowers at Amendola Florist Inc. The flowers are fresh and beautiful and you will pay just for that. They carry all different kinds of colored roses, exotic plants, baloons, birth lawn storks, and a ton of regular green plants. This store would of recieved a perfect rating if the prices were lower but none the less, it is a great store. more
