AMC Theater is my favorite theater to go to. Their theater is nice and air conditioned. Not only that, but the sound and picture are all very good and clear. Although, the prices ...

Nice, but downgrades were not neccesary 6/30/2003

I thoroughly enjoy AMC's choice of movies and their state of the art theaters. However, since making the choice to no longer give free refills on large sodas and popcorn, my wife and I have decided to enjoy movies at other theaters, besides AMC. Pros: Movie selection, Sound and video, Location Cons: Expensive, Crowded, Lack of refills more

Decent 8/7/2002

AMC gets very high marks for its variety of shows. They always have new movies running at convenient times. Parking is much better than at Loews Streets of Woodfield, although the lack of a garage is a pain on rainy days. However, they could have spruced up the decor. The main foyer with the ticket counters have concrete floors that make it seem more like a warehouse, but the areas around the main theaters are much better. They even have two themed wings that add a refreshing difference from traditional theater experiences. Pros: Fold-up armrests, Movie Selection, Parking Cons: Concrete Floor more

I could live here 6/23/2002

Four of the auditoriums have a really BIG screen. The high-back seats with the fold-up armrests are really comfy. If your waiting for a movie to start, theres plenty of video and pinball games. Restrooms are bright and clean. --The sound from the "side" speakers isnt' always clearly defined. Be careful entering/leaving the parking lot. Traffic on the feeder road does not stop. Pros: lots of parking more

Editorial
  • In Short
A top-of-the-line movie paradise outfitted with stadium seating (with armrests that lift out of the way to turn them into "love seats"), cup holders and high-quality digital sound; some feature digital surround sound for the occasional film that employs it. The largest theaters, 14-17, seat nearly 400; theaters 1, 13, 18, 30 are the smallest, holding less than 200.
