As the owner of Washington Electric when one of my service vans goes down it?s a big deal. Each day that vehicle is out of service is lost revenue and somebody is sitting at home waiting to get back to work.\r The Chevy Express with 79k miles started acting up on a Sat Evening at 7:30?.Wouldn?t go into 3rd gear or reverse. Instantly I knew a needed a professional to get it fixed. \r I?ll be honest; I didn?t have a regular transmission shop that I had used in the past. I had some references to a three different shops. They were all closed for the weekend so I went online. The only shop that had very many reviews was ABC Transmission....I found about 25 on Google Places. I actually read almost all of them. There were a couple reviews that were bad, but all the rest were really good and many of them talked about how HONEST the shop was. One of the bad reviews didn?t even seem realistic, and by the time I was done reading I wanted to do business with these guys. \r I had more

ABC Transmission a trustworthy company 12/10/2010

I?ll start with a caveat first. ABC did not do any actual work on my vehicle. However their customer service and honesty was so impressive that I will be knocking on their door if I ever do require transmission or clutch service in the future. \r \r My background: I?m 55 years old and have done / know enough about auto repair to realize when I should try to do something on my own and when not to (thank goodness at least some wisdom comes with age?). I do quite a bit of research on any (new) business that I am going to deal with; read reviews, check Better Business Bureau, review a contractor?s license, etc. So I?d looked at a number of transmission repair places before even selecting ABC to contact. \r \r My contact at ABC was Mark Lepkowski (Service Manager).\r \r Now the rest of the story:\r \r I was experiencing a howling noise when my 2006 Mini Cooper was first driven in morning. Truly one of the best places I have ever dealt with for auto work. 1/15/2010

I had been to a dealer that said there were a multitude of things wrong with my car and I wanted to get a second opinion. I was referred to ABC Transmission by another auto shop that I had used for work on a different car. It is a good thing that I went to ABC because they saved me thousands of dollars. Their service and communication were excellent. We had to order some parts and they called to keep me informed about the status of those parts. They also told me where we were at with cost, including tax, so there were no surprises. Even after the work was completed, they followed up with 2 more phone calls. ABC Transmission Service was truly one of best places I have ever dealt with for auto work. Their shop is clean, their service is excellent, and they stand behind their work. They go above and beyond to help the customer. 1/12/2010

Whenever I have a transmission problem, I go to ABC Transmission Service. I first started using them back in 2006 when my 1993 Ford Taurus needed some transmission work. I liked their service and liked the idea of establishing a relationship with them, so I have continued to use them over the years. The mechanics at ABC Transmission do good work and I have never had a problem after they have done a job for me. Their service is great and their prices are fair. Not only are they very professional people, but they will go above and beyond to help the customer on a personal level, as family. Mark personally got involved and helped me with a legal issue having to do with a warranty. My car was at their shop for a long time while the situation was being resolved. Mark was very familiar with the warranty company and he really helped me get it settled. When I most recently used their service for transmission work on a 2003 car, they did a great job and told me to bring the car back to make sure it was running okay. They also gave me a 90-day warranty on the work and parts, which I appreciated. I highly recommend ABC Transmission Service...they are the only ones I use. more

ABC transmission is five-star 3/15/2009

I did a lot of research in looking to get the transmission in my 1990 Ford Probe rebuilt. ABC knew the model well, and did a complete rebuild. But the service after was outstanding. I had a few minor problems, and they thoroughly made good on everything while accommodating me every step of the way. You find out more about a place during these circumstances, and they are the best-- honest, reliable and helpful. I live 50 miles away and would not go anywhere else! more

OK Transmission shop 12/28/2008

I took my Honda to this place - They were very friendly. The shop was very messy. They rebuilt my transmission, and I am not sure all my parts were put back in my car. They didn't meet the deadline, but offered me a rental car discounted. When I finally got my car back, the transmission failed again - of course they stood behind their work, but I was not impressed. I'm not sure the pricing is competitive either. I would shop around if you can. more

I just picked my car up yesterday. We have used them for years and they have always been reliable and HONEST. My car was repaired on time, as always. The price was under their estimate and $1000 dollars below other estimates we received! more
