2 Thumbs up from me! 4/20/2012

I come to Vegas all the time and have always made this Shop my First Stop! My last visit to the store, two women were heated making all sorts of claims that I found to be pretty far fetched!!I've always found the store employees to be very professional, helpful and efficient. They seem to have a reliable system for retailing that I've never had a problem with. I for one, really appreciate all those sale racks the women were bad mouthing because that is how average woman like me in todays economy get nice items! I love great deals on designer duds. Over the past few years I have got 2 AMAZING Louis Vuitton bags(that I lOvE!!) and tons of clothes and the store was not afraid or above giving a great and fair deal. I'm a very satisfied, and a returning customer! Two Thumbs Up!! :) more

BEWARE: RIP OFF!! 3/21/2012

This clothing resale/consignment store is a total scam. I made a terrible mistake by bringing items in to sell before I checked out this shop's reputation online. It seems they have a history of ripping off the people who consign their clothing with them. I brought in 20 designer items from Armani, Tory Birch and Celine, among others. The owner of the Second Chance Boutique told me that they sold 10 of my designer pieces, but could not specifically tell me which pieces were sold or where my remaining items were in the store. I had to go through all of the racks and try to find my unsold items. I only found 4. The other 6 had ""disappeared."" The scam works like this: They take clothing from a consigner. They then list the number of pieces brought in but do not itemize any of the pieces by designer or description as is standard practice with every resale shop I have ever dealt with. This ""loose, unitemized book keeping"" allows the shop to sell clothing and accessories for much more than they tell the owner of the items that they sold for...allowing them to keep a majority of the profit, rather than splitting it fairly. They told me that ALL of my designer pieces apparently sold on the super discounted sales rack. Since there was no written record of the specific pieces sold, I had no way of knowing what was sold or for how much. In the end, I was then given a check for $46 for ten designer pieces!! As for the 10 remaining pieces that did not sell...I only got 4 back! They said the others had been ""lost."" or donated, even though they were called and told we wanted unsold items returned to us and would be coming in to pick them up. My daughter and I eventually went in a few times to complain about the missing pieces until 2 items magically reappeared. The other items were just taken from us and never returned, which is stealing. PLEASE DO NOT SHOP THERE OR TAKE YOUR CLOTHING THERE FOR CONSIGNMENT!! They make a profit at other people's expense. more

Rip Off 10/4/2010

This is a consignment store and I made a big mistake by bringing items in to sell. The ladies that work there are very rude. They lost some of my items and refused to look for them. They lied to me about the money I made and said they sold some of my designer items for $2.00 when in fact I saw one of them priced for about $40.00. They are a total rip off. And unless you don't care if you ever see your items again, don't take them in for consignment. I lost some really nice stuff. more

My favorite Consignment Shop - Best In Town 1/10/2009

I have been in Las Vegas for a few years and I thought I had visited all the local consignment shops, until I found ""A Second Chance"". This store is truely one for all. They have everything a woman could want and need from high end designer handbags and clothing to items that a fixed budget could afford. I was truely excited to find a Classic Chanel suit in my size- the price listed was $400. I was hesitant since I have never spent so much on one piece- the owner Janet worked with me and gave me a better deal with out question. Janet took the time to show me other suits not pushing the Chanel which showed me she was there to help me not just sell. Her staff treated me like a queen. Vegas has some great consignment for ladies but A Second Chance serviced all my needs not just high end. The owner told me they have been in business over 28 years making them one of the oldest in town that truely says something about this shop. They are close to the Strip and easy to work with- many shops are eager to make a big sale and don't mind your budget or they are overpriced and not willing to work with you. Since visiting the store for the first time I have become one of there consignor's Honest Good Business in Las Vegas. For example: I consigned my mothers Mink coat and requested a certain amount and they sold it and paid me more then I had requested what a shock! I was so pleased they also started selling on ebay making it easy for me to shop when I have no time! I highly recommend that if youhave not been into this store that you visit so you too will get the best deal- a must see! Pros: Best price, knowledge of items inventory more
