I go to this bakery every morning, just to see a girl named Vicky, because she is so hot that she melts my ice cream! And she has wicked curls. Thank You.

Nothing special 3/27/2008

If you've ever been to a half decent Chinese bakery, this one is really no different. The cakes are okay, but their buns can be a tad dry from time to time. If you're craving asian pastries, then this place isn't bad. I might just be overly picky, but no Chinese bakery deserves more than three stars if they can't even make a proper egg tart. More importantly, half the staff doesn't even know what a proper egg tart is suppose to be like. more

Excellent 12/17/2006

By far my favorite bakery in Seattle. The best tasting everything. I have been there several times and no complaints. My favorite thing is their garlic buns, they are the best combo of sweet and salty! more

Freshest, nontraditonal tasting wedding cake 4/30/2006

Piece of Cake makes a Fresh Fruit cake that has kiwi, melon, strawberrys sliced in between the layers of light, spongy, not too sweet cake, and iced with a light whipped cream based frosting that is anything but heavy. Absolutely delicious, and both my husband & I are not cake fans. But this was perfect. we didn't have it 'decorated' and instead put lovely collections of edilble flowers on it. it was simple, delicate and easy. more

Best red bean cakes in town 1/5/2006

A Piece of Cake has the most delicious red bean cakes in the i.d. They swirl the red bean paste through the pastry so instead of getting a lump of heavy sweet paste in the middle of the flaky pastry, the flavor is swirled thoughout. Yummy! more

Terrible Customer Service 9/21/2005

This bakery makes good cakes, pastries, and bread, but they have terrible customer service. I once called in the morning to check if they were open, and the person told me in a rude manner, “Why would I answer the phone if we are not open?” I was shocked with the answer, and did not go to the bakery because I did not want to get yelled at when I make a purchase. more

Chinese cakeshop 4/30/2005

'A Piece of Cake' is a nice little cakeshop in the International District that has Chinese-style cakes. I like to go there for the cakes, because they are not so far from Japanese style. They taste good because they're not too sweet. If you buy a full cake it would cost around $25, so it can be a little pricey, but it's very good. more
