Anytime Fitness

Lori who claims to be the owner of For Women Only Fitness is a complete thief; she will swindle you out of your money when you try to cancel by charching you for a month in advance! She is unprofessional, rude, and shouts and yells at you when she doesn't get her way. Not only that, but the facility is a piece of crap! The swimming pool is kept cold during the winter time so you have to freeze in order to swim. The carpetting is falling apart. The shower stalls are so disgusting that you feel like you are walking on muck when you go there. Basically, the whole place has an old and dirty feeling and look and when you try to get out of the contract by demanding your rights, they will threaten you with collections! They don't know how to keep their customers and they won't have any customers if they keep up this attitude! more

This gym seemed to be okay, however, I've recently realized that the level of professionalism is way below adequate. Some of the staff is nice, but the person who is supposed to be in charge seems to have the mental capacity of a rock. She is very rude, unprofessional, and cannot seem to multi-task. Possibly, she is just one of those individuals who is miserable with herself so she has to take it out on others. I go to the gym to workout....not for drama. The so called ""person in charge"" speaks negatively about members to other people and blatantly tells lies. Believe me, you can find a gym of higher quality for a lower monthly rate!!! If you're wondering....No, I never worked there. I was a member. I am just clarifying so I do not confuse the manager if she reads this.....Wait, I do not think she is computer literate. more

CONSUMER BEWARE!!! This sorry excuse of a “gym/business” has a BBB rating of an F! They do not have any professionalism and are swindlers. They do not honor their written contract or what comes out of their mouth. Cancellation is a nightmare! They say you just to need to give a “30 day notice”. Their 30 day notice is actually a 60 day notice. They are swindling an extra month’s fee of your hard earned money. They are desperate for money even if it means stealing it!! You can tell they do not know how to run a business as their other locations have closed down. When I asked their Sales Manager, Lori, about what happened to the ""30 day notice"" for cancellation she went ballistic like a crazy woman because she knew she had been caught red handed. When you steal people’s money like that your business will never be prosperous. Blessings and prosperity coming from hard work, sincerity and HONESTY!!! They do not know the meaning of any of these principles. more

Belonged to Women's Fitness World several years ago. Cancelled membership 3 years ago. I started noticing new charges from 4 Women Only on my bank statement. They reactivated my membership without my knowledge. I don't even know where this gym is!!!! Lori is rude and unreasonable! This gym will steal your money. They won't refund my money unless I can show them my cancellation from 3 YEARS AGO from another gym!!! more

I truly love this gym. I have been working out here for 9 years. The staff is friendly and helpful. The trainers very helpful and knowledgeable. The price is competitive, the equipment always maintained and it is a very convenient location. There are women of all ages working out! This is a great place to work out. more

I've been a member at this gym for a number of years and all I can say is that 4 Women Only Fitness CARES! TheTrainers on staff are very knowledgeable, nice are open to answering my questions. more

I LOVE 4 women only! The people behind the desk, and the people in kids club are GREAT! I have gotten in wonderful shape, using nothing bu the classes offered, 5 days a week. They dont have fancy equiptment, spin classes, or fancy classes, but they have all you need to get and stay in shape! And at a great price, and in a relaxed atmosphere! I never have to wait for a machine. The classes can get crowded, but just cam 10 min early, and you can get a spot. The instructors, are wonderful and friendly, and very helpful! Love, love, love, this small town gym! more

I've been a member of this gym for over 10 years. They have an aerobics room, swimming pool, pilates studio, weight room with machines, locker room, and showers. The club provides complimentary shampoo & body wash (which smell great)! I can choose to work out with aerobics, step, pilates, yoga, boot camp, and water aerobic classes. All of the instructors and trainers are certified, professional, friendly, and great to work with. All of the staff, and the members are very approachable and friendly. The manager, Lori, & the staff do a great job getting to know the members and ask how they are doing. On a regular basis, the club hosts a fitness challenge similar to The Biggest Loser, with prizes awarded to the most successful participants. The membership prices are very reasonable for me, as I signed a month-to-month contract so many years ago. You can even get childcare included in your membership fees, making the gym an even greater bargain! more

Love this fitness center. I joined before they opened so am a long-time member. It's perfect for what I need: usually I do treadmill, weights, take a shower (love that shampoo, conditioner and body wash are in each shower). The instructors are great: they have a great team. The people who work there are very nice. I like the privacy I get in this gym and that it's only women. more

I have been a member for over a year and I have made some life long friends. Nobody ever writes anything good so I felt it was my turn. I take the aerobics and yoga classes 2 times per week and it is such a part of my life now. The members and instructors are so nice. more

They will come after you with qa collection agency after you try and cancel your membership - even if you do not owe them anything. Any reputable business would not make it impossible to cancel. Cons: You will never be able to cancel your membership. more

I have been a member of 4 Women Only for 4 years and love this gym. Lori the manager is amazing. She always has a smile on her face and she inspires me every time I go. She is not only the manager, but I think she has lost over 100 pounds as a member. Pros: Lori and Instructors more

I would warn anyone before joining this gym. I joined their San Marcos location only January 9, 2008 for $158 for a year long membership. On January 21st I went to the gym and they were closed. They were kind enough to leave a flyer telling me a different gym would honor my contract.Basically they sold me a membership to a gym they knew they were selling without telling me. They also sold my private information to this ""new"" gym without my knowledge or permission. The ""new"" gym was a co-ed gym which was not what I had signed up for. I confronted the owner Mike at the Poway location for 4 Women Only and he basically told me he couldn't refund my money and that I could go through my credit card company and report it as fraud. He was smug and rude and laughed at the confrontation as if there was nothimg I could do to him . DO NOT TRUST THIS COMPANY !! They only look out for themselves. more

I've only been there about 6 months. The staff was often rude, and my daughter was verbally abused in their kids day care facility. The manager is quite pushy when trying to get you signed up. One month I was charged some extra ""maintenance fee"" of $39. more

This is the worst gym I ever belonged to. They were making fraudaulent charges to my credit card, and they forged my contract ! I was lucky to keep all the documnent that I signed so I won my case, but overall had a horrible experience.
