2 Danes Contemporary Furniture

We moved to Nashville 2 years ago and happened upon 2 Danes Contemporary Furniture not long after. Since we built a new house so needed more furniture and because our tastes run to contemporary, we were excited to find this store. Browsing was a pleasure. While we were acknowledged with a greeting, no one intruded on our perusal. When we went to the other side of the store, we were asked if we needed help and the owner showed us some pieces that were on sale. This was the beginning of a great relationship. Since then, we have bought several things from 2 Danes; bookcases, lamps, clock, and bedroom set and have been very happy with everything. The headboard on the bed that we bought last year started to show a flaw; the grain popped and it was no longer smooth. We took pictures of the problem and took them to the store. A few days later, we received a call saying that the bed would be replaced, the order had been made. A few weeks later, we received a call that the bed had arrived and a delivery date was scheduled. The day before that date, another call to tell us the time window in which they would arrive. That morning, another call to say that they were on the way. The old bed was dismantled and the new bed assembled. We have been very pleased with every experience with 2 Danes. It is hard to go there without buying something. The owners are always pleasant and helpful. I have my eye on another piece that I expect to get in the future. more

We had an outstanding experience with Two Danes. It was one of the least pushy furniture places we went to--some reviews have indicated that the owners ignored them, but it was SUCH a relief for my husband and I to be able to peruse the store without being followed around by a sales associate. About 30 minutes into our wandering, someone asked us if we needed anything, showed us to a section we hadn't looked at yet, and then left again. This was PERFECT for us, because we do not make decisions quickly, and a bed is a big purchase for us. Once we had made a decision, I found the owner and let her know we were interested in the bed, but our concern was that we had originally wanted a bed with storage drawers underneath. The bed that was in our price range, and which we loved, didn't have any. She said it was no problem, they would add drawers for an extra $150. Done! We were thrilled. We purchased the bed on the spot. We couldn't arrange delivery that day, so we called early the next week and set it up over the phone. It was wonderful--they gave us an hour window for delivery and showed up EXACTLY on time! It was so convenient I was able to come home and supervise delivery on my lunch break. When the delivery guys noticed that there were some slight variations between the two sides of the bed, they went ahead and set it up so we could use it, but came back two days later with a replacement side so they would be identical--we would never have noticed, but that's how careful they are! We will absolutely be going back--they do have a lot of expensive things, but they have some real reasonably priced gems as well, and their amazing service has made us customers for life. more

While buiding our home in 2005, my son wanted modern bedroom furniture for his new room. We went to 2Danes and everyone was so nice and helpful. We picked out the furniture that we wanted, some of which had to be special ordered. We were still 2 months away from being able to move into the house and the folks there at 2Danes were so understanding and actually stored the furniture for us for for a few weeks until we could have it delivered. I would definitely reccommend 2Danes to anyone desiring the highest of quality in unique modern furniture. They have the sort of modern furniture you might see in the pages of magazines like Architectural Digest, Modern Living, etc. Pros: Friendly staff,plenty of parking,excellent service, remarkable inventory more

We recently moved to Nashville, and needed some new furniture. After reading the review below, we weren't sure what to expect. We deliberately dressed rather shabbily (jeans and t-shirt), and drove there on a Saturday afternoon in our small commuter car. We need not have been concerned - the staff treated us quite well. They spent lots of time showing us around, despite the store being very busy, and demonstrated a lot of knowledge and expertise. more

about the post following my last one.... A friend of mine is one of those people who go online and post raving reviews on companies they have never been to so as to drive up the review ratings. Let me say, does anyone notice how the ""not snobby at all"" is the complete opposite of mine. I asked my friend if this was a plant. Her response... definitely. Also, I recently returned to the store. Thought maybe I caught them on a bad day. Unfortunately, the same attitude persists. Not to mention the prices. They have gotten a little better but..
