Yep, the 24 Hour Fitness health club in Lakewood, WA isn't anything to write home about. It is located in the Lakewood Towne Center amidst a ton of other retailers like Target, Bed Bath & Beyond, GI Joes, Old Navy, Safeway, and etc.
However, beyond it's location the actual club leaves something to be desired. Sure, it has the basics of what you would want to see in a health club, but that's it. They've got a limited selection of the cardio and strength machines and freeweights, but if there was an influx of members at any given point and time, then there would be a shortage of what you could workout on. There is also an aerobics room, a tanning bed, and a sauna (in the locker rooms).
Another minus to this club is the low ceiling to the place. Comparing this to the 24 Hour Fitness and Las Vegas Athletic Clubs that I had been to in Las Vegas isn't quite fair as both of those facilities are far superior to the Lakewood club.
And the cost? Well, paying about $35 for a all-club "sport"
