I wish they had a zero star review! This is the WORST experience I have ever had and SEAN must have gotten his training in the back of his trunk. The color was awful, the hair cut atrocious and after being told one price during my consultatin, I was charged $300 dollars for a color which would have been better coming from a box since it was pitch black. It has been a nightmare. I only went because of the Aveda color. I showed him a beautiful color of a light golden brown picture. I was in tears, because obviosly this man has no clue what he is doing. When I called back and told him how upset I was, Sean had absolutely no remorse, said that's the exact color I had asked for. I will stick to my other Park Avenue Colorist, no doubt. This is the snobiest place I have ever entered and the most outrageous! I really don't know how in the world they stay in business. I agree with the other comments, that they must be writing their own reviews to counteract the bad rap they're getting from the clients whose hair they butchered.\r \r INEPT, STUFFY, RIP-OFF AND FALSE ADVERTISEMENT THAT'S THE REVIEW FOR THIS JOKE OF A SALON! more

I am sorry I had to give this salon one star, because it does not even deserve that. I had shoulder length hair and asked for a trim and came out with hair so short I may as well be a gym teacher. He wacked at least 4 inches off (already above shoulder length hair) it is so unbelievably short my husband's first words out of his mouth were, ""What was he thinking?!"" Sean (the hairdresser) had absolutely no remorse, no words of comfort or assistance. To add insult to injury it was a very expensive haircut around $100, however, I would pay 10x that amount to have my hair back. I really do not recommend going to Sean. more

Gary Lambert Salon is like having a fun family. You will get to know the whole staff, and they really care about your experience beginning with a cup of coffee or tea to the minty neck and shoulder massage after having your hair washed. Gary has done an amazing job creating the atmosphere that you are important. Gary has a keen eye about what looks good on people and will be honest with you about how to improve the way you look and feel. He and the other stylists are interested in you as more that a person with hair--they take a personal interest in who you are. I am blessed to have them as part of how I live my life. \r more

The salon is convenient so I thought I would give it a try. The staff was not particularly friendly and it felt stuffy. Sean gave me my cut and it was just ok. Definitely no wow factor and definitely not worth the hefty price tag. I will stick with Stella Luca where the staff is always friendly and relaxed and the cut is always fabulous. more

I've never had such a great experience at a salon in my life! Chelsea was so attentive and so gentle that I literally fell asleep. She began with a thorough skin analysis and determined the needs to my skin. As she was treating me to my facial, I felt very relaxed and totally forgot about the stresses in my life. What a way to free yourself of the everyday life?!?! I will definately be going back and wanted to express how great it is to feel relaxed and to pampered every now and then! I was not happy with this ""posh"" salon. My appointment was for a facial which had been cancelled several times by the tech. I arrived on time, was not acknowledged till 10 minutes later, only to be advised that the person I was scheduled to have a facial with did not show up. I was then asked if I wanted to do something else. I opted for a hair color but ended up spending twice more than expected and I only received an ""apology"" so to speak, and that was it. I absolutely LOVE this salon! The prices are high, but the quality and personal attention is well worth it! I hsve gone to every stylist there including Gary And the quality is fantastic. Maybe there was some truth to some of the bad reviews on here because NOBODY besides the 2 owners are still there. Everyone else is new to the salon, and it must be for the better ( it was very busy the saturday I was there). Im glad that They have found some talent to add to the place. I live in Kissimmee, which is probably about 45minutes away from Gary Lambert's. But the drive is definitly worth it. As soon as I walk in I am greeted my the receptionist (who knows me by name) and then offered refreshments. The girl that does my hair always does a GREAT JOB and all of the other employees are always very attentive to my needs. I would recomend this salon to anyone! What an AWESOME STAFF! I have been going to Gary Lambert Salon for several years, and the quality has been consistently declining. The setting is nice, the Aveda products are wonderful... but the stylists are TERRIBLE. There is no one at the salon (except maybe Gary) that has any quality experience in hair color, cut or styling. The last girl that cut my hair gave me the worst cut I have ever experienced - uneven and without any sort of style (although when I came in, I had a definitive hair style), and the manner in which she applied color was not much better! (Even though I've been coloring my hair for years, she applied full color from root to end - and she didn't spread highlights and lowlights... it was AWEFUL!).... The worst part, she charged me well over $300 for her lack of experience and incompetence. As an Aveda salon, Gary Lambert should be a top salon in Orlando - with experienced top stylists... I was a longtime client of Gary Lambert Salon, and for the most part had good experiences. On my last visit, I decided to change my normal style, going from highlights to one color, thinking it would be more affordable. Turns out they charged me $350 for a SINGLE COLOR and a TRIM. The stylist even got permanent dye on my face which didn't come off for two days, and missed some spots on the back of my neck. I felt robbed to pay that much for a shoddy job. It wasn't even the color I asked for! I was so ticked off that i just said i'd never be back and didn't want them to touch it, for fear they'd it further. DEFINITELY not worth the money..don't go!! I just love coming to Gary Lambert Salon, finally someone that can cut naturally curly hair. \r It is nice going into a place that is professional and unstuffy at the same time. If you need to know the prices they are available to you or I just asked. I also love the fact that they work with cancer patients for the Look Good Feel Better program. Gary Lambert Salon if you don't cut your prices, get your act together, and do a 100% good job your name will be tarnished, if not already. Everything about this place reeks of snob. From the moment you walk in the door, if you don't look like you have a trust fund, they don't care about you. $350 for a cut and highlighting??? It doesn't look any better than if I went to a local place and paid $85... How can a whole group of people be so full of themselves?? After receiving a very generous gift certificate ($150) to this salon, I was excited to see what I could get done. I showed up at my allotted appointment time (9am) to be told that the stylist ""would be in any minute"", so 10 minutes later she saunters up and tells me to come to her station. I decided to get a relaxer on my hair which costs $110, and figured I would get some nice shampoo or something with the leftover $$. Well after doing the relaxer treatment, the stylist began to trim my hair (Which was great, I needed a trim, but I did not ask for it). I mentioned to her that I had a $150 gift certificate and didn't want to go over the limit and she went and talked to her boss and came back and told me that the relaxer and trim would come to $150!!!! $40 for a trim???? That DID NOT include a blowdry (which would be an extra $38!!), so I left with my hair soaking wet. Gary himself was there while I was there and did not even so much as return a smile to me, let alone say anything to welcome me (it was just me and 1 other client in there at that time). I'm new to the area having just moved from Tallahassee, and my experience in this salon was welcoming to say the least. I got a gift certificate for mother's day from my husband so I went in for a day of beauty. I got my eyebrows waxed, a haircut, my nails done, and a ten minute chair massage. Everyone was extremely friendly and all my services were amazing. My salon back home was Aveda, but it was nothing compared to this!!! I'd definitely go back again. I have been going to Gary Lambert's Salon for over 15 years. The service and staff are always on their game. The place is always spotless and smells wonderfully as you walk in. I have received numerous compliments on my hair everywhere I go. As busy as they get, they still make me feel like I am the only client in the Salon. I would highly recommend this salon. WORSE PLACE EVER!! Charged $338 for a cut and color that I was dissatified with then went back to get it fixed got charged again $70 and to top it all off they took the liberty of adding a ridiculous 20% tip, when i shouldn't have been charged at all to get it fixed. I'm a college student and it was apparent that they completely took advantage of me. I agree it is not worth the gas, it is not worth your time or money. I have been a satisfied patron of Gary Lambert for years now. I always find the entire staff to be helful and friendly. I have noticed that I look forward to my visits there - they always relax me and leave me with a positive outlook. Gary takes his Aveda mission seriously, and the entire place is spotless and smells like the high quality products they provide. I recommend this proud local business - an anchor of Park Avenue for many years now - to anyone who values a killer look and top quality service. I go to Shawn for my haircut - he knows how to cut my crazy hair so it looks good for quite a long time afterwards. I have also recommened Gary Lambert to visiting friends and have gotten good feedback about their day spa services as well. Highly recommended.
