This school borders on being a total fraud. Online instructors are seldom available. One instructor got miffed at me because I corrected her on a particular code. But that's just the small stuff. This course was very expensive, $20,000 as opposed to $2400 for the same course at a local community college. I took the medical coder/biller course. Was told at the beginning of the course that this was a great profession to get into for a work at home business. I'm retired and thought this would be just the thing I need. Well, after I finished the course and asked for help with starting a home business, their story changed. The guidance department said ""Oh, before you start a coding business from home you need to have coding experience out in the field. You need to find an entry level position at a doctor's office, etc. Well, I'm a 57 year old male. I'm not a good fit as a receptionist at a doctor's office or any other office for that matter. Plus, like I mentioned, I'm 57 years old. I don't have several years to work in a medical office. I wanted to work from home. But they just ignored me and never helped me with one damn thing. In fact, when I mentioned my concerns about finding a job in the medical coding field, one counselor suggested I go back to my previous profession. That's real good advice, isn't it? Now I have a college loan to pay off and nothing....absolutely nothing to show for it. When I retired a couple years ago I was totally debt free. No house payment, no car payment, but now I have this no good college loan to pay back. They knew from the start that I wanted to work from home but they deceived me by not telling me about having to work out in the field for several years beforehand. I would never recommend this school to ANYONE. If you want to go into the medical billing and coding profession, find a local vocational school where you can get the same education for a lot less money.
Pros: Online access to course
