AMC (A MOVIE CONSIDERED) anytime 12/18/2007

its packed when new movies just been released... hate waiting in line.. but this place isn't so bad. Go on a day thats not that busy, cause the theatres just cleaner, and there are less people to be there to annoy and ruin a movie...\r \r all of my 10 years living here, this place isn't that bad at all, and I'm a type of high class gal. Pros: good selection of movies Cons: bad people parking more

NOISY! 9/30/2006

We have decided to stop going to this theater because of recent poor experiences. First, the price listed on this page is incorrect: Adult price is $9.50. At $9.50 per ticket I expect to be able to concentrate, but we are constantly interrupted at this theater by cell phones ringing, people talking, theater exit doors being left open so that you can hear parking lot noise, and people sneaking in food in noisy packaging (paper bags, etc.). It is just impossible to get caught up in a movie with so much noise.\r \r Second, the popcorn is often burned. I'm talking about BLACK kernels and corn, and a burned smell at the concession stand. If you ask for a different batch, this request is met with deep sighs, eye rolling, and dipping into a different part of the same bin! NOT worth the price.\r \r Third, the bathrooms are gross. I don't know how they can constantly be out of paper towels & TP. A general cleaning of the place a few times a night wouldn't hurt! The auto-water handwash stations are also sometimes broken. Ick--careful with whom you share popcorn! \r \r Finally, parking here is a joke on weekends. There is a huge (always empty) area close to the entrance that has been roped off for valet. We have experienced a few times that the lot was so full that the only options were to PAY to have your car parked, or skip the movies-we chose option 2. Also, why not put valet parking farther away from the entrance as those people who do pay to park aren't walking back to their cars anyway?\r \r On a personal note, I keep hearing that movie revenues are down. Well too bad! If I could escape to a darkened theater and not be constantly bombarded with talking, cell phones, and the light from text messaging, then I would go to the movies more often. But for now we're taking a break from the ""theater experience"" and slowly reinvesting our $9.50-a-pop into a better home entertainment system. Maybe the AMC Westminster 24 ought to think about investing in ushers. Pros: Often show smaller films that can usually only be seen at the Mayan or Esquire. Cons: Dirty, noisy, bad concessions more

Horrible Movie Theater 5/20/2005

This theater has awful presentations. I never seen a movie at the Promenade 24 that has actually been in focus and in frame. The sound is horrible. The theaters are equalized with too much treble and they have an awful echo because the screens are not perforated. The digital sound equipment is limited so most of the time when you see a movie at the Promenade it plays in analog not in digital. Plus, it is the Promenade's policy to run the movies volume way below reference level which is the volume level all movies are designed to be played at. If you want to go to theater run by high school sophomores who have no idea how to show a movie and has cheap uncomfortable seats the do not even rock back this is your place. more

the ultimate movie goers haven... 11/20/2002

I've been to many movie theaters around the world. And, I believe that the AMC Westminster Promenade 24 is the best so far. It is one of the reasons I decided to settle down here in Colorado. So, to the crew & staff of the said: keep up the good work, more power to you, and see you all at the next feature movie. Pros: Inexpensive, Good parking, Food selections Cons: No discounts more

No Competition 8/18/2002

This theater is clearly the best around. I not only love the theater but the whole Promenade complex. It is excellent if you want to go out and catch a movie and dinner. The theater itself has enough screens to have just about any movie you want to see whenever you want to see it so its always convienient. The stadium seatings and size of the theaters is great as well. The seats are extremely comfortable and the sound is awesome. The only problem I have ever had is that once the movie started late but they made up for that with free passes. If you are going to the movies the clear choice is the Promenade, there is no competition here. more

best theater in the area 6/4/2002

This is by far the best theater in the area. There are plenty of showtimes and plenty to do in the area if you need to catch a later movie. Pros: lots of showtimes, good service, nearby fun Cons: pricey more

The Place To Go 5/27/2002

First, I'll point out something no one else has mentioned. This movie house was designed with numerous, well thought out restrooms. Many are located underneath the stadium seating. If you drank too much Coke, no problem. You can zip out and back missing very little of the show. The sound systems are excellent on dialogue; but on the quiet side for deep bass special effects. This may be good or bad depending on your taste. The seats with their liftable arm rests are just about as good as you will find anywhere. One gripe I have is that the theatre has two large wings. They are designed to be self sufficient with their own concession areas. In 4 visits though, these were not open; thus requiring a long hike back to the central main concession area. Pros: Restrooms, Excellent Seating, Digital Soundsystem Cons: Minor Screen Flaws, Distant Concessions, Quiet FX Bass more
